Privacy Policy

SpeakerMate is built to clean your device speakers using sound. We designed it to be private by default — it works mostly on your device, has no accounts, and never asks for your name, email, or location.

What we access on your device

• Microphone (optional): When you run a Speaker Health Check, SpeakerMate plays a short tone and listens through the microphone to estimate how clear your speaker sounds. The audio is analyzed on your device in real time and is never recorded, saved, or uploaded.
• Apple Health (optional): If you turn on after-workout reminders, SpeakerMate reads your workout-completion events so it can remind you to clean. This stays on your device and is never uploaded. We never write data to Apple Health.
• Notifications (optional): Used only to send the cleaning and trial reminders you schedule.
• Purchases: Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.

Information collected automatically

To run the service and improve the app, we and our providers process a random per-install identifier that is not linked to your name or Apple ID:

• Product analytics (PostHog): screen views, feature usage, settings, and aggregated diagnostics. This includes session replays that capture on-screen interactions; text you type is masked.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): diagnostic data sent when the app crashes, so we can fix problems.
• Subscriptions (RevenueCat): purchase, trial, and restore events used to manage your subscription.
• Referrals (AppMate): if you use an invite or referral link, we process the referral code to grant free access.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not show third-party ads or track you across other apps and websites.
• Your microphone audio and Apple Health data never leave your device.

Your choices

• Microphone, notifications, and Apple Health are optional and can be turned off in iOS Settings at any time.
• You can ask us to delete the diagnostic data associated with your install by contacting us.

Children

SpeakerMate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Purchases & iCloud sync

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. Your Drops balance is stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account so it follows you across iPhone and Apple Watch. We cannot read your iCloud data.
